RUTH'S FAMILY
As a parent it is so difficult to watch your child struggle with “Who am I” “What am I going to do” “What do I want to study”, and “where” type questions. Let’s face it, by the time they are in their late teens, if they are developing appropriately, our opinion carries a lot less weight. That is where Shana steps in and to help your teen, or young adult, explore options, identify interests and generally guide. I can’t recommend her highly enough if your teen or YOU are looking for career or college counseling.
How I Worked with Ruth’s Family
When I worked with Ruth’s family, I talked with each of her kids about what was important to them. They shared their opinions on life, college, work setting and so much more. Much of the work they did was centered on value clarification; it was important to each of them that the school they chose reflected their personal value system. From there, they researched and were able to have a more clear picture, as to what they were looking for in a college or work setting and how that would apply to future career directions.
