How I worked with Helena
Working with Helena was inspiring. She is a dedicated worker and high academic achiever who earned acceptance to a variety of schools. With so many options in front of her, our work focused on strategies to select the school that could best help her achieve her dreams. We approached the process considering the big picture of her long-term goals. When I accompanied both Helena and her mother on the visit to Northeastern, we spent time discussing what questions to ask of the faculty and staff and what to listen for, as it related to her future. We also walked the campus with conscious intent to see if she “felt truly connected to it.”
After informed reflection, Helena selected another top-tier school which was the best fit for her. Today, Helena is thriving and doing well and is content in knowing that she made the right choice for herself.
